Chief Customer Officer Forum

Oxford & Silverstone

3rd & 4th February, 2010

We’ve changed the format this time with the Forum running from 6.30pm on 3rd to 2pm on 4th February. We get into Fast+ “Simples!” mode with a working dinner in Oxford and then the CCOF day hosted by Porsche Driver Experience Centre at Silverstone. To round off the day, Porsche is again providing us with that terrific opportunity to gain some driver experience in the customer’s seat and get some practice at handling tricky situations on the track!

Working dinner 6.30 for 7.00 pm, Red Room, Old Bank Hotel, High Street, Oxford

Dinner on the 3rd February 2010 will be held in the Red Room of The Old Bank Hotel and we’ll assemble in the bar from 6.30pm.

As we’re back in Oxford, we’re looking forward once again to welcoming a guest speaker who will give us plenty of food for thought. From 7pm to 8.15pm, Kal Samra, Managing Director of Compare the Market will share how the company developed the top advertising campaign of 2009 and discuss the developing power of consumer aggregators.

Aleksandr Orlov, the billionaire meerkat made famous by his comparison website, has over half-a-million fans on Facebook and over 20,000 Twitter followers. He’s recently launched a monthly Hollywood Meerchat show with David Hasselhof as his first guest. Follow Aleksandr on Twitter! See the movie or compare the meerkat!

The Meeting Thursday 4th February 2009

The CCOF meeting on Thursday 4th February is kindly being hosted by Porsche at their Customer Experience Centre and we’ll run this from 8.15am to finish formally with lunch at 1:15pm.

The proposed agenda is:

8.15am   Breakfast at Silverstone
08.45am Achievements - share your best work of 2009, things of which you are most proud. Please come prepared with 1 slide for group discussion. A bit of showboating in order to share your best practices that others may need in 2010
11.00am Break
11.15am Building the right capabilities in your team for change to work. We often set about change without considering the conditions for success. Amongst them are sponsorship, pressure for change, resources & budget. But do we think enough about who is in the change and what they need in order to make change acceptable? What can we learn from successful programmes in this respect?
1.15pm Lunch
2.00pm Close or optional Porsche driving experience

Parking in Oxford

This is a challenge in the centre of Oxford, however The Old Bank Hotel does have parking for residents, just follow the directions below:

From the city centre the hotel is situated half way down the High Street opposite St Mary’s Church (the University Church) and Catte Street. The hotel is surrounded by some of Oxford’s oldest University colleges, good shops, museums and pubs and directly across the road from the famous Radcliffe Camera and Bodleian Library.

To locate the Old Bank’s car park, drive into the city centre via Magdalen Bridge. Once in the High Street, turn left at the Eastgate Hotel into Merton Street. Proceed along the cobbled road, past Merton College and take the next turning to the right, which is Magpie Lane. Drive up to the old-fashioned lamp post and the parking is on your right. Please note that parking is complimentary for hotel residents.
