7C was a successful start up outsourcer, a virtual company with many staff co-opted into roles from outside. It was seen by the market as having one of the best cultures of any outsourcer and operated as a UK and Indian outsourcer. It was acquired by Vertex at the beginning of 2003.
Budd was asked to provide more rigorous process, project and programme management techniques into the business. Budd brought extensive intellectual property whilst coaching staff and working on live delivery projects including the rapid set up of the voice recognition systems for FreeView on the demise of ITV Digital.
